Adam Godson believes in the premise that, “If you don’t disrupt your own business, someone else will.” This mentality serves him well as senior VP, global technology solutions at Cielo. Since joining Cielo in 2011, he has been at the forefront of the HR technology strategy and operations for the RPO provider and its 150 clients worldwide. Early accomplishments include developing and implementing the first globally deployed candidate recruitment marketing platform, which automates candidate sourcing and interview scheduling. Godson also developed automated screening and assessment tools, robotic process automation support, virtual career fairs, as well as platforms for analytics and talent intelligence.
But he is most proud of spearheading Cielo’s high-volume RPO solution, a tech-first approach to help companies handle hourly hiring. In addition to leading all technology for Cielo, Godson leads SkyLabs, an incubator-like program within the company that helps Cielo to disrupt and think differently about its own business. “That’s what keeps me energized — the ability to continually invent, continuously solve new, big complex problems, and then on to the next,” explains Godson, who just recently got promoted to his current position.
He views staffing as a great industry for people that like to interact with people and make a difference in their lives. “You get a front-row view from a point in someone’s life that can really impact their satisfaction of their life,” he says. “That’s pretty cool.”
