When Net2Source founder and CEO Ashish Garg asked her to join his firm, Ajeta “AJ” Sinha was working at a company in India that was not in staffing. It was a big switch, but Garg believed in her. His belief, plus the fact that she would be the first female hired in a leadership role at the firm, clinched the deal for her.
Sinha was tasked with building the company’s sales function from scratch. She joined the company in India and moved to the US after a year. Today, Sinha is the strategic advisor to the CEO and manages the organization’s sales, account management and service delivery portfolio as the senior VP. Over 4½ years, she has helped grow the company to $60.4 million with 550 in-house recruiters from $21.2 million and 50 workers. Net2Source has also expanded to 20 countries.
What is her philosophy regarding her job? “If you’re honest, committed and sincere about being super successful in life, nothing can stop you. If you have the right skill — and will — then no job remains a job. It becomes your passion where you strive to be your best.”
One of the biggest changes she has seen is that the industry is no longer as transactional as it had been — it’s about valuing the human element. “Gone are the days, where deals were closed over cold calls; it’s time to be proactive, creative and innovative to find most effective way of addressing a problem,” she says.
And she has taken this approach to heart and adopts it every day.
