Collaboration has been a common theme throughout Carl Schweihs’ career; he feels it’s a key driver of success for any career, and the reason he got into staffing. While serving in earlier financial leadership roles for TrueBlue, a global staffing provider with 151,000 customers, Schweihs focused on driving collaboration between all business units and finance to instill greater accountability and produce stronger financial performance. When he led TrueBlue’s Strategic Accounts program, he brought people from different parts of the organization together to design integrated solutions that deliver higher value for clients – generating multimillion-dollar deals with several of the world’s largest brands and increasing TrueBlue’s brand penetration rate by 50%.
Now Schweihs brings that same spirit of collaboration to his role as president of TrueBlue’s PeopleManagement business, which provides on-site and contingent workforce management staffing for manufacturing, fulfillment and distribution facilities. He oversees 1,300 employees and his team is focused on growing PeopleManagement’s footprint to forward its mission of changing lives and building stronger businesses by connecting great talent with great companies. Schweihs is most proud of the connections he’s helped people make with one another. “We get the opportunity to change lives every day and have an important impact on the businesses we support,” he reiterates. “That is a powerful thing to be a part of.”
