Caroline Weitzel lives by the philosophy: “If you hire amazing people, develop their skills and their confidence, and invest in them personally and professionally, then you get to step back and watch the magic happen.”

Weitzel helped found, and now leads, ettain group’s groundbreaking people department, owning an array of business functions for the $170 million staffing and talent solutions firm that enable her to design and execute on strategies that drive growth and solve problems for the business.

She has built and evolved with a team a powerful training and development engine over the past several years that has enabled ettain group to scale and pivot effectively. Comprised of comprehensive in-house training and onboarding programs, innovative technologies leveraging video and social elements, formal and in the moment coaching tools, leadership development, and self-led learning curriculums, Weitzel has constructed a platform from which the company can launch its next top performers or adopt its next significant initiatives.

The key to Weitzel’s success is in understanding that “when you hold a high bar for your people, you reinforce their confidence in their ability to achieve great things.”

Weitzel attended Duke University as a Benjamin N. Duke Leadership scholar, where she graduated magna cum laude. Outside of the office, Weitzel can be found on her yoga mat or hiking in the great outdoors, with her husband, Chris, and 3-year-old son, Van.
