Danny Cohen

An industry veteran of 22 years, Danny Cohen is managing director of Impellam Group’s STEM brands in North America, which include Lorien, SRG and the newly formed Bartech Energy division. Although he only joined the company in October 2021, Cohen, recognized for transforming and building companies in staffing, has already grown segments of the business as much as 50% and built the Bartech Energy division to solve human capital challenges in the ever important fields of renewable energy and electric vehicles.

His greatest passion, however, is providing career pathways to everyone, particularly in the growing STEM fields. Cohen has helped build and lead programs like the San Diego Tech Hub conduit program, which helps prepare individuals from underserved communities to pursue meaningful work in the STEM industry. He also serves as director of mentoring for the WICT Network, empowering women in media, entertainment and technology and preparing them for a career in this exciting industry. “My No. 1 personal driver is to change people’s lives. To create safe environments so that people can bring their best, and whole, selves to work,” he says.

Cohen believes advancing the staffing industry means providing the upskilling and reskilling resources to give good people great career changes: “People will always need great roles, even as technologies transform industries, but we need to prepare everyone for these transformations and disruptions in the marketplace.”
