Julia Meucci

Julia Meucci, managing director of global client solutions for ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions, got into staffing inadvertently. A counselor suggested that she apply for jobs as an exercise to build her confidence. But, after interviewing for a job with a recruiting role, she fell in love with the recruitment process and started on a new career path.

While visiting ManpowerGroup headquarters, she came across a taped interview in which company founder Elmer Winter was asked what makes a person successful, to which he responded, “Purpose.”

“I knew I had found a home, and I knew I would be surrounded by driven, exceptional people,” she says. She joined ManpowerGroup in 2009 in an administrative role and has worked her way into management of contingent and permanent workforce solutions; she was promoted to her current role in June. She has overseen dramatic portfolio and revenue growth, for which she was recognized with the 2018 Manpower Power Award.

Meucci brings to her job a keen sense of the importance of addressing mental health concerns in the workplace. She is dedicated to reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and ensuring that neurodiversity is not overlooked in inclusion efforts.

Having benefited from being mentored in her career, she in turn seeks opportunities to mentor others. “Organizations are only as good as the people who work for them, and the people are only as good as they are empowered to be,” she says. “People long to have purpose. You’ll be surprised at the wonderful places it will take you!”
