Kara Rogan believes that when people feel valued and good about what they do on a daily basis — and about the company they do it for — it will reflect on the company’s bottom line. And she has proven that philosophy true at CoWorx Staffing Services LLC, where she began managing a small $14 million market to now leading the company’s East Region, which exceeds $110 million.
A recruiter in 2005 enticed Rogan to leave The Adecco Group for a director opportunity in the smaller CoWorx market. She is now vice president, sales and operations for its Eastern region, leading about 100 associates and some 30 offices and on-site locations. Rogan supports her team closely while still allowing them to work independently, leading to high morale and retention as well as being the most successful sales team in the organization. Rogan also sits on CoWorx’s executive advisory board, a group of 10 senior leaders who help drive decisions at the New Jersey-based staffing provider.
Rogan is always seeking growth opportunities within CoWorx’s current customer base as well as new prospects. She is looking to help expand the firm’s technology footprint to make it easier and faster for CoWorx’ applicant base to find work. “I feel wonderful about coming to work every single day, and I think that culture really transcends throughout the entire organization,” Rogan says. “To be able to have an impact on peoples’ lives — not just internally within the company but also our field associates — it’s meaningful.”
