Looking back at the past year, Marcus Harley says working to expand operations to Latin America was one of his biggest achievements in his role as director, implementation and technology support at Pinnacle Group. The implementation, which is expected to go live by the end of the year, included trips to Argentina and Chile as well as Mexico City.

Harley’s team is responsible for all new VMS and MSP implementations and program expansions at Pinnacle. That means they put the client’s chosen VMS in place, test it, put it into service, and then provide ongoing technology support to clients and implement changes as needed. If any errors crop up, it’s up to his team to solve the difficulty.

“It’s a challenging, but fun job,” Harley says. “You very rarely get the same thing twice, and you’re constantly challenged to find where the breakdown happened.”

In fact, his advice to his team is to challenge themselves constantly.

When he first graduated from college, he worked in a human resources role. Then someone reached out to him about whether he would be interested in an MSP specialist role. While he hadn’t heard of an MSP before, he was intrigued by the description. Soon he joined the staffing industry, and that is where he remained.

Harley, who is based in Philadelphia, says his end goal is to ensure clients are happy.
