Pam Schieber

Pam Schieber, managing director of Advanced Resources, believes there is no easy path to professional success. “If you put the work in, it will come,” she says. “You just have to challenge yourself and be open to change, because it could be good things that come out of it.”

Schieber has put in that hard work since joining the Chicago staffing agency 14 years ago as a temporary employee, right out of college, and success has indeed followed; she has received eight promotions across recruiting, sales and leadership positions. In her current role, she runs Advanced Resources’ newest division, Workforce Solutions, which provides holistic support and customized solutions for strategic accounts.

Schieber has played a pivotal role in Advanced Resources’ overall growth to $70 million from $7 million during her tenure. Notable achievements include growing a “handful” of Advanced Resources’ largest accounts to $14 million from $6 million in revenue over a three-year period as an individual sales contributor. The experience was a turning point in Schieber’s career, opening her eyes to the “bigger picture” and staffing’s potential impact on an organization. It’s also where she found her affinity for working with large accounts and having a seat at the table to help solve their problems and put people to work.

Expect more from Schieber in the challenging times ahead. “I’m super fascinated by our industry,” she says. “I think that it has enabled me to quantify and hone my soft skills into a work setting.”
