Sachi Greene, senior VP of operations for STS Technical Services, grew up in the staffing world, helping her father in the office after he started his own staffing companies. “I would go to the office with my dad and write form letters on a typewriter to send to applicants and interviewees,” she says. She earned high school credit and real-world experience working for STS and continued to work for the company during college breaks.
Once she graduated from the University of Denver, she got a full-time sales and recruiting role with STS. Her biology degree and previous experience in staffing enabled her to hit the ground running and understand STS’ clients and their needs.
As a new recruiter, Greene loved helping people find jobs. “Today, what I find exciting is how we can make ourselves more efficient through technology.” As one of the youngest members of the executive team, Greene has led an effort to increase the company’s use of technology and automation. During the Covid-19 pandemic, when the aviation business — STS’s main industry — came to a halt, Greene persuaded the board of directors to move forward with new technology projects. “‘Doing more with less’ has been my motto for getting our company through Covid-19 and coming out the other side, not only still standing, but thriving.”
Going forward, Greene plans to focus on operational efficiencies and hopes to grow that into becoming the company’s first COO.
