His staffing journey began when he joined healthcare staffing firm TaleMed 11 years ago. He had just graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he played outfield on the baseball team. A friend was starting the company and asked him to join, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Williams worked his way up as the firm grew, taking on more and more responsibilities. Then, in 2020, the firm merged with Triage Staffing, another healthcare staffing firm based in Omaha, Nebraska. The combined firm ranks among the largest healthcare staffing providers in the US.
“I just love the opportunity every day to make a difference,” Williams says, adding that the work they do ensures that people in the hospitals receive the care they need. In addition, “It requires you every day to bring your best; I just love the challenge.”
Williams has been lauded for developing and leading strategic care initiatives for healthcare workers and internal staff. His employee development programs have expanded the recruitment team to more than 100 employees and more than 1,000 customers nationwide. But it is his company’s growth that he cites as his biggest accomplishment.
To be successful in staffing, you must have discipline and passion every day, continue to learn in every aspect of the business and have a positive attitude, Williams says.
