Andrew Bull

Andrew Bull was the first intern at Alku when he joined in 2011. In 11 short years, after having served as a hardworking and dedicated recruiter, he is now president of the organization — a historic Alku promotion. He says the most rewarding part of his job is getting to develop relationships with people, candidates and clients as well as his co-workers. “If you enjoy working with people and helping them find staffing solutions, it’s a whole bunch of fun.”

In 2013, Bull had the opportunity to join and help develop the newest division in the company — life sciences, which has grown into the fourth-largest life sciences staffing provider in the US, according to SIA. He is duly proud of this achievement while acknowledging that a great deal of the credit goes to the group he works with at Alku.

He is also proud that Alku has both a scholarship and a mentoring program for at-risk youth, which allow the organization to give back to the community. Bull adds that he is driven by the people he works with and for — people who inspire and motivate him to work hard each day to make Alku the best it can be.

Looking to the future, Bull foresees the industry headed in the direction of being niche organizations rather than generalists. In addition, he sees technology playing a larger part than it currently does — and he plans to keep Alku on the cutting edge of new advances in that field.
