As VP, science and clinical recruiting, for Kelly, Angela Stewart is passionate about helping place people into roles that “enrich others’ lives through the products that they help their clients create.”

Stewart studied biology and chemistry at UNC Chapel Hill but knew immediately that she did not want to work in a lab. Her love of science led her to apply for a temporary scientific recruiter position at Kelly, where she fell in love with the industry. Her role has been a perfect marriage of her “strong desire to help people as well as staying engaged in the science and clinical space,” she says.

Stewart is proud of how her team handled the Covid-19 pandemic, seamlessly transitioning into a fully remote workforce and placing candidates into roles supporting Covid-19 testing and vaccine research. She highlights this as an example of how her team gets to enrich others’ lives via the work the talent does with Kelly’s clients.

Amid the pandemic, Stewart’s team did not miss a beat and continued to grow. She points to her team’s success with remote working as an example that could be followed by the wider staffing industry.

Going forward, Stewart wants to stay engaged in coaching and mentoring and help pay it forward for the people around her. “I’ve had outstanding leaders throughout my tenure here at Kelly who have helped me develop, and I want to do that for others,” she says.
