Ben Llewellyn

It was 10 years ago that a corporate recruiter at a college job fair convinced Ben Llewellyn to give the staffing industry a try. After only six months in a recruiter role placing IT candidates, Llewellyn became a business analyst, then rose to director of IT. In 2019, he became VP of technology for ettain group.

Llewellyn has had his hands full over the past 18 months, helping lead ettain group through five acquisitions and welcoming his second baby amid a global pandemic. In this acquisition process, Llewellyn has led the integration of over 40 systems into one standard platform and helped ettain group refine its “acquisition playbook” with efficient integration initiatives. Llewelyn has played a big role in helping the organization move to No. 12 on SIA’s Largest US IT Staffing Firms list from No. 29, and takes particular pride in maintaining the culture they had as a much smaller company.

As someone who is motivated by the biggest constant in his field — change — Llewellyn felt uniquely suited to handle the trials of 2020. He predicts that, as organizations find their footing and explore new staffing solutions in the coming months and years, the industry will be in for a wild ride. “I think it’s going to be fun,” Llewellyn says. “I think we’re all going to be very, very busy — but that’s a good problem to have.”
