Jeff Goodell

Jeff Goodell always knew he wanted to work in the life sciences and healthcare arena. Prior to his current role as market leader for life science at Korn Ferry, Goodell was a principal for the global life science practice at DHR International. Before that, he worked for an insurance company until he accepted an opportunity in executive search within the life sciences space, despite having no previous experience in the staffing industry.

“I was no expert, but I knew I could learn,” Goodell says.

He joined Korn Ferry in 2012 as managing consultant and his passion for learning and making a difference elevated him to market leader in 2016, where he is responsible for keeping his team motivated and engaged. His proudest accomplishment is helping to promote the recruiters on his team.

“I have been able to hire, train and develop and promote a third of my team and it is awesome to be able to see these people continue to develop and take their careers to the next level,” he says. He’s also proud of the loyalty that he’s built with his team — and the low turnover his team has had as a result.

Throughout his career he has completed more than 400 engagements for numerous top-tier and early stage organizations across the industry.
