Having logged over 10 years in the industry, Jenny Davis says staffing appeals to her because it affords her the opportunity to be curious while advising candidates on major life decisions and helping clients find great talent: “I get to learn about companies and what they do, and about people and what they do.” Davis is vice president of Russell Tobin, Pride Health and Pride Now, the professional recruitment and staffing advisory divisions of Pride Global, a minority-owned integrated human capital solutions firm helping companies solve complex human resource challenges.

Davis is particularly proud to be a working mother in the industry — not always an easy feat, she points out, given the demands — and she is grateful to have found a home at a company that recognizes the importance of flexibility, prioritization and parenting. Driven to further the firm’s vision of being an employer of choice for moms in the industry, Davis became a founding member of Lioness, Pride Global’s women’s equity initiative focused on addressing obstacles and opportunities that disproportionately affect women in the firm and in communities.

To date, Lioness has successfully changed Pride Global’s paid maternity leave policy to an industry-leading 12 weeks, established a mentorship program for the women at the firm and partnered with external nonprofits to coach women on résumé development, job readiness and career change. “I am proud of these efforts as I know the power that women and mothers bring to our industry,” Davis says.
