Octavio Fast

Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Octavio Fast is passionate not only about the work he does, but how it affects the community and the people of his hometown. Spending the last 15 years in the staffing industry, Fast has a wealth of knowledge that has helped AMS expand exponentially in Latin America. In the two years since he was appointed senior manager, LATAM, Fast has led the AMS expansion in Mexico to a team of 190 members from 35. In the last 12 months, operations in Mexico have grown by over 300%, supporting a variety of roles and functions across the Americas region. “Specifically in the last four months, growth has been over 200% in Mexico. So creating these opportunities here in my community, that’s what I feel most proud of,” Fast shares. In addition to growing AMS internally, in the last year, he has also doubled the number of clients AMS services in Latin America.

While there are many aspects of his job, the talent acquisition piece is the part of the job that gets Fast excited and motivates him to push forward. Being able to help people is extremely rewarding, he says. “I love that we are in a people business — that we’re in a position to provide opportunities to people. That’s why I’m in the industry.”

Over the next few years, Fast aims to continue growing AMS throughout Latin America.
