Payal Kanaiya joined Intelliswift in January 2020 as VP of strategic initiatives, having fallen in love with the organization’s culture, teamwork, passion and empathy during her interview process. A 15-year veteran of the staffing industry, Kanaiya was also intrigued by the opportunity to collaborate with some of the great minds of the industry from a technical and leadership standpoint. She says, “The industry is my home now.”

Kanaiya has been instrumental in helping develop Intelliswift’s diversity recruitment engine that focuses on hiring diverse talent for its clients. She also built the company’s MSP division, which services a large volume of Fortune 500 clients.

As an immigrant, Kanaiya has had to work hard to find her place in corporate America and is grateful to the people who have “taken a chance on [her].” She recognizes that there is a need to step up training to accommodate and serve those who come from diverse backgrounds. It is her hope to continue to be a part of this beautiful journey of diversity and inclusion.

Despite the turbulent times recently with the recession and Covid-19, Kanaiya and Intelliswift have continued to find innovative ways to serve its clients, Kanaiya says. She sees more automation as a growing part of that, but ultimately, this is a people-oriented business, and she hopes that it will continue to have the human touch — “because that’s what makes us who we are,” she says.
