Sarah Blazek entered the staffing industry in 2006 as a recruiter, eager to help people find their next big adventure while learning about different industries and gaining visibility into some of the largest companies in the country. She has since taken on various roles at Pinnacle Group’s MSP practice, from MSP on-site specialist to her current role as VP of MSP strategy and operations. Dallas-based Pinnacle Group is one of the largest staffing firms in the US.

“I love my job because it revolves around building relationships, developing creative solutions for our clients and challenging my teams to grow,” Blazek says. She enjoys partnering with clients to develop mature, scalable management strategies around staff augmentation, services procurement, payrolling and resource tracking; learning about niche industries and how to customize solutions around specific needs; and building teams to help launch individuals’ careers and watch them grow and succeed.

Just after Pinnacle’s successful MSP expansion into Latin America in 2019, the Covid-19 pandemic suddenly forced the firm to rethink how it approached MSP operations, strategy and analytics both externally and internally. Blazek’s team seized the opportunity to realign the organization’s priorities and focus on individual career growth — overhauling program adoption strategies, implementation plans, internal personnel growth paths and MSP program goals to adapt to the rapidly changing world. This enabled Pinnacle’s MSP practice to not only survive the quarantine, but to thrive, Blazek says. “We’ve emerged stronger as a company, more innovative as a practice, and more experienced and educated in the industry as individuals.”
