Tim Fallon

“I would be lying if I said I set out to find a career in staffing,” Tim Fallon says. “Staffing came and found me, and it was a perfect match.” He has been on the leadership fast-track ever since Apex Systems found him 15 years ago, thriving in the fast-moving environment where problems must be solved on a daily basis.

Fallon graduated with a degree in psychology and joined Apex Systems — the IT staffing and services company and division of ASGN Inc. (formerly On Assignment Inc.) — as a recruiter before quickly ascending to executive-level roles. He oversees recruiting operations and strategy in his current role as VP of recruiting, which he started for Apex Systems in 2014 and expanded to include Apex Life Sciences in 2016. These divisions combine with ASGN to be some of the largest in the US — Apex Systems, as the second-largest IT staffing firm, and Apex Life Sciences as the third-largest clinical research/scientific staffing firm. Prior to these roles, he was director of skill-based recruiting, and a training specialist for Apex’s national sales personnel and recruiters.

He is most proud of the many programs Apex has launched during his tenure and its consistent double-digit revenue growth. In his current roles, Fallon leads both divisions’ innovation objectives and he is motivated to keep Apex strategically ahead of competition and “winning,” he says. “That’s what keeps me up at night and is most exciting.”
