Trevor Foster

Trevor Foster is CEO and founder of Fulcrum. An MSP for human cloud platforms, San Diego, Calif.-based Fulcrum enables enterprise-level companies to work with human cloud, online platforms such as Catalant and Toptal.

One of the company’s main focuses is to “continue to learn about the problem that we solve — bringing freelancing, truly and compliantly, within a temporary staffing program within a large company,” Foster says. “We really want to deliver the solution as well as we can while delivering real value to people who are having trouble filling those positions today.”

Fulcrum was spun out from Innovative Employee Solutions, a provider of payrolling and independent contractor compliance (formerly the company was Tops Staffing).

Foster joined Innovative Employee Solutions about five-and-a-half years ago when he moved to San Diego from Tennessee with his wife, who was taking a job in the biotech sector. Foster had a background in accounting and joined IES, which gave him insight into the staffing industry. He eventually worked his way into a leadership role and is now leading Fulcrum.

When he’s not working, Foster spends time with his wife and 2-year-old daughter. He also loves to learn. In fact, he considers that his hobby. “I feel like I don’t have a very good day unless I learn something,” Foster says.
