Jim Berger has always loved a challenge, and joining Integrity Staffing Solutions 13 years ago has given him ample opportunities to rise to the occasion.

As area director of Integrity’s mid-Atlantic region, Berger worked with his team to quadruple revenue in four years. In addition to growing his region, Berger helped recruiters and business development managers become branch managers, started up branches in new markets and turned around underperforming branches in just a few months.

His tenacity led to his promotion in January to his current role as area director of the East Coast, where he led a company initiative to drive added revenue in the face of a possible recession. Berger engaged all levels of field operators — including recruiters, branch managers, sales, strategic accounts and finance — to develop ways to generate more job orders in their markets. He developed a robust incentive plan for each department for their contributions over the budgeted revenue. The program was so successful that it is now rolling out companywide.

Even as Berger rises through the ranks, he continues to prioritize the people aspect of the organization, ensuring his teams are developed and cared for, delivering outstanding service to clients, and advocating tirelessly for his associates’ success. “My teams are what I love about this job,” he says. “I like developing careers, and a lot of people I hired have taken the next steps in their career.”

Berger sees more growth for his teams and the industry in the future. “Over the next few years, staffing will need people with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service. The trend of going above and beyond is here, and you must lean in to succeed.”
