Parth Bhakta

Like most young professionals, Parth Bhakta wanted to make an impact in the world. He did not seek out medical staffing, but as he observed family members’ experiences in healthcare and listened to a friend bemoan recruiting challenges, an idea formed in Bhakta’s mind: What if there was a model that put healthcare workers at the center of the process?

Bhakta knew he could streamline the friction he saw in the market, so he and a friend from college built a prototype company that quickly caught on and eventually became Vivian Health. As founder and CEO of the nascent company, Bhakta knew early on that clinicians would want a flexible platform with a wide array of jobs and a high degree of transparency. It also had to alleviate pain points for employers, like cost and time to hire. Bhakta designed a digital platform that uses matching technology and dynamic communication channels to supercharge speed to market and reduce hiring overhead. Word began to spread, and the business grew dramatically.

In 2023, the company surpassed an impressive milestone — over 1 million healthcare workers on the platform. Today, Vivian Health has 130 employees and facilitates thousands of job placements each month across all 50 states.

Bhakta credits his late father for instilling in him an ownership mindset. From an early age, Bhakta watched his entrepreneur father do every task, no matter how big or small, with excellence. Now Bhakta pays it forward by teaching the next generation of entrepreneurs at Stanford, which he says makes him a more effective leader at Vivian. One day at a time, Bhakta is creating a legacy that would make his father proud.
