Steven Endsley is no stranger to adversity. Throughout his life, he has faced monumental health challenges, including epilepsy and cancer. However, he has remained resilient through it all and today is a sought-after leader in the healthcare staffing industry known for his innovation and guidance. “I hope to set an example for others who are encountering personal or professional barriers,” he says.

As VP of workforce solutions at AMN Healthcare, Endsley leads a sales team that is tasked with growing the business on a national scale. As a result of his leadership, AMN’s managed services programs achieved record-breaking growth in 2022, with a 59% increase in new business. “Success is never achieved alone,” he says. “I attribute the success in my career to my wife, family, coworkers and incredible leaders that invested their time in me.”

The pandemic was a career-defining moment for Endsley. Although he’d been with AMN fewer than three months when the lockdowns began, he helped reimagine the company’s service delivery model to meet the changing needs of their clients. He also helped implement innovative healthcare solutions, including field hospitals, mobile care teams, Covid-19 testing and vaccination clinics. Post-pandemic, Endsley has been a significant contributor to AMN Healthcare’s strategic initiatives and expansion of new service offerings.

Since beginning his staffing career in 2014, Endsley has become the go-to expert at identifying solutions for helping health systems overcome their workforce challenges. The potential to constantly problem-solve keeps him in the industry. “Every day I’m motivated by the opportunity to uncover new ways to help others and push our industry to new lengths,” he says.
