Mike Drolet

Team player, leader, trusted partner. These are words that have been used to describe Mike Drolet, who joined Pontoon in 2012 and was appointed as COO earlier this year. Despite his youth, he doesn’t look at himself in terms of age. “I just go out and try to focus on doing the right thing for people and helping us get better as an organization,” he explains.

A self-professed technology geek, Drolet stepped into the staffing industry with Wipro and Beeline before becoming a part of Pontoon’s original management team, where he helped build the company from scratch within Adecco.

Looking back, he says helping form Pontoon has been his greatest accomplishment. “I was very fortunate to be a part of the original management team, the senior leadership team that started Pontoon,” Drolet says. The experience gave him and his team the opportunity to build Pontoon’s culture, values and the organization itself from the ground up.

Drolet is also excited about technology’s role in the future of the industry and is helping lead Pontoon to be at the forefront of innovation. “We don’t want to sit and watch things happen, we want to be involved and be a thought leader and help shape where things are going.”

Drolet has learned that opportunities are going to present themselves, and if you maximize them, consistently, “good things are going to happen to you in your career.”
