Monnisha Booker

Monnisha Booker ranks her promotion to director of talent acquisition at Strategic Staffing Solutions, or S³, as her proudest accomplishment to date. “It’s an amazing feeling being able to add value and make an impact across our entire organization,” she says of the opportunity, which not only gives her the chance to advance her career but also the lives of others. Booker attributes much of her success to internal drivers; she enjoys performing well, making those around her proud, and accomplishing any challenge set before her. She also counts her ability to embrace change and learn from her mistakes as contributors to her success.

Booker credits many life events for making her the successful person she is today — such as her time in the US Navy, which she says helped her “gain real-world experience along with a more structured way of thinking and executing ideas to actions.” Other essential building blocks in her life include completing her bachelor’s degree with a 4.0 GPA, all while building a family and learning a new role at S³, and her induction as the VP of membership for BDPA St. Louis — a national STEM-related and empowered diversity organization.

Future plans with her team at S³ involve hiring the right people to implement the company’s business strategy, and taking actions to leverage more and better recruiting technology. On a more personal note, Booker hopes to pursue her MBA in the near future.
