Shannon Hernandez has made great strides in the staffing industry since joining KellyMitchell Group Inc. 15 years ago. Recently promoted to executive VP, Hernandez has been an integral member of KellyMitchell as it grew from a local, St. Louis-based firm to a national organization with a footprint in every major market. “It’s been a fun ride,” she says.

At KellyMitchell, Hernandez was instrumental in building a dynamic team that shares her passion for staffing. She and her colleagues build on their unique strengths and diverse backgrounds to deliver outstanding results for the firm’s Fortune 500 clients. “I am nothing without our talented team of hard-working professionals,” Hernandez says.

A woman-founded and majority women-led firm, KellyMitchell recently became 100% employee-owned, a model followed by fewer than 1% of the staffing industry, delivering equity shares to its employees. Hernandez says proudly, “We’re enthusiastic about the positive impact shared ownership will bring and how it will allow us to continue serving our partners in the best way possible.”

She adds that it’s an exciting time to be in the staffing industry, with technological innovations and expanded opportunities for the workforce. “It isn’t always easy, and with every new opportunity can come growing pains, but we always find a way to adapt to the changing market and ongoing client needs,” she explains. “I am so proud to work for a company that always rises to the occasion.”
