Tara Sprakel had no prior connections to the staffing industry when she interviewed with Fusion Medical Staffing for a sales role under the impression it was a marketing role. Inspired by her vision, however, Fusion Medical Staffing created a marketing role for her, and she went on to become the 10th employee and the first woman on the company’s executive team. Today, Sprakel serves as the company’s chief marketing officer, and she has created a department that contributes to the success of not only Fusion but each healthcare worker who works with the firm.

Sprakel cites as her proudest achievements the resilience to sail through the past two years as well as the launch of the company’s Fusion Marketplace platform, through which travelers can access job postings from multiple healthcare staffing providers. “It [was] three years in the making, but we now have several partners on board and counting. Fusion Marketplace is here to disrupt and enhance the traditional staffing model,” she says.

Sprakel is an innovator who has made marketing the ultimate lead-generating department of the firm. Under her guidance, marketing-qualified leads comprised 90% of placements in 2020 and 78% in 2021.
