A lifelong learner with 15 years of experience in staffing, Arran Stewart, co-founder and chief visionary officer at Job.com, was drawn to staffing because of its dynamic nature and the ability to make a positive impact on both individuals’ lives and on the organizations that hire those individuals. “Every placement is an opportunity to change someone’s life positively and help a company grow and succeed,” he says. “It’s a role with profound responsibility and impact, which is incredibly rewarding.”

Recently, Stewart led the development of Job.com’s AI-driven matching algorithm, which is learning how to increase the quality of its placements and reduce the time to hire. “These innovations not only made our platform more efficient but also have potential ramifications for the broader industry as more companies look to leverage technology in their staffing efforts,” he says.

Under his stewardship, the company raised an impressive $46 million in funding and executed the strategic acquisition of Princeton1, which generated $18 million in revenue. Stewart’s innovative mindset has led him to invent and secure 25 patents, creating groundbreaking solutions that have reshaped the industry. These pioneering achievements have driven Job.com’s revenue growth from $46 million to a remarkable $109 million, while the company’s gross profit skyrocketed from $13 million to an astounding $39 million.

In the next few years, Stewart sees himself continuing to lead strategic innovation at Job.com, pushing to drive blockchain, AI, and machine learning into its recruitment processes. As for the industry itself, Stewart expects a growing reliance on technology and data-driven decision-making, but knows that the human touch will still remain a crucial part of the staffing industry.
