Heather Tarrillion

Like many college graduates, Heather Tarrillion did not know what her future would look like — she only knew it would be focused on people. In 2006, she took an opportunity that matched her personality and joined the growing Houston office of Addison Group as a recruiter for finance and accounting. “I thrive off of personal interactions, and I am inspired when I get to talk to [people from] different walks of life. That is where I really fit the mold,” says Tarrillion, who now serves as Addison Group’s regional VP for the finance and accounting contract division.

Tarrillion’s legacy is twofold: expansion and exceeding expectations. She achieved a track record of success in start-up operations in Denver, San Antonio and, most recently, Charlotte, North Carolina. Denver, the first organic expansion since 2007, was the fastest to profitability in company history, and she saw it as a pivot point professionally. She flourished in the trust and freedom leadership gave her and reflects, “I always felt like my voice was heard, but I felt like it became louder after that opportunity.”

Today, Tarrillion oversees six markets, and she enjoys helping each one thrive. Her leadership style is contemporary, emphasizing empowerment and autonomy. She listens and learns from people and considers it a personal achievement to see the careers of those she has coached and mentored progress alongside her own.

Recognizing that the industry is evolving rapidly from filling positions to being career guides for employees and strategic partners to organizations, Tarrillion is energized by all the possible new and unique challenges. She aims to see her regions achieve their financial targets and for team members to continue to experience promotion and growth.
