Under the vision and leadership of Ashley Holahan, IDR Inc. has seen tremendous growth and cultural change over the past two years. As president and COO, Holahan has made it her mission to pursue and lead improvements that have changed the nationwide IT staffing firm for the better.
One of the initiatives that Holahan helped implement was the establishment of an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). A key feature that sets IDR apart from other staffing industry companies, the ESOP was created from a deep belief that employees should share in the company’s accomplishments.
“Our leadership mission is to empower our people with skills, tools, and autonomy required to succeed. Their success is our success, period. Typically, leadership has to balance the desires of shareholders with those of their employees which aren’t always aligned. At IDR, our employees are our shareholders, so it’s very clear whose interest our leadership is here to serve.”
By serving employee interests, Holahan hopes it empowers them to do their best work. “From our ESOP to our engagement management program, we constantly strive to develop and support our talent because we know that when one person succeeds, we all do,” she says.
