Sara Farmer believes that it’s a leader’s job to recognize and remove barriers that stand in the way of team success. And she worked hard to help provide employees with a clear path to achievement.
Throughout her 14-year career at Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), Farmer has excelled in every position she has held, from recruiter to account manager and now market VP, where she oversees business development and customer relationships across a five-branch region. As a member of the S3 leadership team, Farmer also works closely with other MVPs and leadership across the company’s global footprint.
Understanding both sides of the desk has enabled her to lead and manage others effectively and build strong relationships with prospects and customers. Her diverse knowledge has also helped her design sales and recruiting strategies that have produced significant wins, successful projects and client success stories.
However, Farmer says her greatest passion is mentoring others, understanding their strengths and helping them to become successful leaders in the industry.
“To succeed as a manager, you have to surround yourself with great people,” Farmer says. “I’m extremely proud of our team.”
In her spare time, Farmer is actively involved with many community organizations including Tech for Troops, a Richmond, Virginia-based nonprofit organization that provides veterans with skills, computers and IT workforce training.
