Shane Oberg is committed to driving growth at DeWinter Group without sacrificing the firm’s people-first culture that values quality and service excellence. He is steadfast about putting the needs of clients and candidates first.
With client satisfaction scores off the charts, and a 40% increase in revenue in 2018 from 2017, he’s clearly achieving his mission. However, Oberg attributes his success to his talented internal team united by their core values and unparalleled work ethic.
“I am a firm believer in finding driven and motivated people who work well with others,” Oberg says. “As recruiters, we aspire to help others find jobs they love just as we have.”
He also believes that a strong work-life balance for his team helps in defeating the competition. He takes great pride in giving employees the flexibility they need to not only be top performers in the office, but at home.
After watching his father struggle to find employees for his CPA firm, Oberg was intrigued by the industry and all it had to offer. He joined Robert Half after graduating from California State University Long Beach, became partner at DeWinter Group in 2009 and CEO this year.
His future goals are simple: “I plan to continue to invest in the business and do whatever it takes to keep our unique and synergistic culture intact as we move the organization forward into the next stage of growth.”
